This wiki came about through the expansion of content from a wiki being managed and edited by a volunteer Marconi Radar Systems Archive Team (MRSAT) using material sourced from MOGS, a group of ex-Marconi colleagues. Another group - MOFS - does the same from ex-apprentices in all sister companies. Therefore much of the content is the expression of personal opinions and knowledge and should be regarded as such.

The interest inspired by the radar work resulted in the desire to cover the whole range of activities carried out under the Marconi banner and this has been achieved by additional colleagues currently recording the history of work in the fields of radio broadcasting, television, line communications and other product areas. These and other individuals also provided material for this overall company wiki, and from this initiative came the Marconi Heritage Group dedicated to preserving the company history.

Much of the content has been generated from their memories by individuals who came together in their professional careers within the orbit of the various Marconi organisations. As such, the web site content should be of interest to members of the successor companies, as well as people in general.

By definition all factual company information remains in the ownership of the past and present owners of the Marconi-named companies and their successors.

re Cookie Policy: My tracker blocker shows two cookies, by Google Analytics and Quantcast.

Are these placed by PB - I didn't think we elected to do so - can we remove?

I've just cleared my cookie cache and navigated to this page and those two cookies are still there, so they are PB sourced.
"Google Analytics gives you insights into your website traffic and marketing effectiveness. We help you buy the right keywords, target your best markets, and engage and convert more customers”

and

"Quantcast measures and organizes the world's audiences in real-time so advertisers can buy, sell and connect with the people who matter most to them. Used by the top 10 media agencies, the world's largest brands and more than half of the top advertising supported publishers, Quantcast connects the planning, buying, and media fulfillment processes, delivering the marketplace's most consistent and accountable audiences."

I don't recall being given an option and AFAIK only the web host can remove. A necessary evil for using a free service?

I hadn't seen these as I have Ghostery blocking everything.
